Warm Weather and Basement Music

Monday, May 17th, 2010

I’m still getting the hang of this whole blogging thing and noticed that my images were showing up squished.  From now on, I will post thumbnails of the images, just click them to see full size.

I’ve been working with some awesome bands lately and was lucky enough to put together an LP and a sweet logo.

Drag Me Under is an upcoming band that gave me complete freedom in designing their logo…I’m pretty stoked on how it came out.

The LP I’ve been toiling on for some time, and after a bit of a hiatus, we’re finally getting to the end.  The vinyl has been produced, and we’re just waiting on a final decision about the format, but in the meantime the art is all but done for the cover and the lyrics sheet. I’ll put together a nice photo shoot of this once I have the physical copy in my hands, but I wanted to show the completed art as well as the printed labels.

Check out Drag Me Under on Myspace or Facebook.

For the Farley Overdose you can check them out on Myspace, Facebook or their Blog.

Thrift Store Art – Vol. 3 + Some

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

It’s been a second.

Here is what most of my down time has been dedicated towards…I’ve got the painting bug.

Might use this for something in the future.

And another installment of Thrift Store Art that I’ve been meaning to post.

Been busy lately, here are a few scraps to show.

Once your down with Ape Island, it will encompass your whole life.

Sneak preview for a tiny bit of the new Farley Overdose album Follow the Cult…it’s going to be epic.

And now for something completely different…

Lately I’ve been working on an album which is taking a lot of time, but I’m pretty excited with how it’s turning out and can’t wait to show you guys when it’s all said and done.

But in the meantime, me and Lauren were invited to a wedding for some friends of ours.  As a gift, they just asked for some money for their honeymoon, but instead of pulling the groom aside and slipping him a $20, I decided to have a bit more fun with it and put together a custom Hawaii themed card for them.  It’s a little different style than normal, but who doesn’t love a bit of cocktails and tiki.

My photography sucks so everything looks a bit yellow compared to the actual card.  I’m hoping on getting a proper setup to photograph stuff like this in the future.
